Art Day South
ensemble
Art Day South is an inclusive arts studio supported by Arts Access Victoria, working in conjunction with contemporary artists across the fields of visual, sound and performing arts. For more than 20 years, Art Day South has been a model of inclusive practice, where artists work collaboratively to experiment and develop new artworks and projects.
The studio focuses on creative exploration and skills development to produce public outcomes in the arts. Working with sound and theatre practitioners, the artists use sound and video recording as a tool to extend their drawing and performance practices. The artworks are presented in such contexts as exhibitions, public performance, screenings and projection festivals. Previous exhibitions and productions include Go Have A Look, Kingston Arts Centre (2018), Gertrude Projection Festival (2014) and Singular, collaboration with Rawcus, Nebula (2013). This performance would be their first live gig as a band.
