Joining The Amplified Elephants in 2012, Daniel has quickly developed an oeuvre as an electronic laptop-based sound artist. Mentored by JOLT director James Hullick and sound artist Steve Richards (aka Cleaning Lady), Daniel has formed significant connections internationally through his work.

Daniel is also a member of the Sonic Adventurers Collective initiated in 2019 through JOLT Arts. Through Sonic Adventurers, Daniel collaborates with sonic and visual artists to create exhibitions and other projects.

In 2022, Munnery will join The Amplified Elephants in premiering the full live versions of DEEP CREATURES (released on Heavy Machinery Records, 2021) and HAGOROMO with Japanese Noh singer Ryoko Aoki. New gallery-based works by Daniel were premiered as part of the Sonic Adventurers' THE RED LINE exhibition at Wangaratta Art Gallery.

Munnery toured Tokyo in 2012/14/15, Hong Kong in 2015, Macau in 2015 and the UK in 2014. When on tour for JOLT’s 2015 touring festival, Daniel and The Amplified Elephants collaborated with Tokyo-based sound artists Cal Lyall and Pardon Kimura in creating a series of recordings. Daniel’s list of performing credits with The Amplified Elephants is extensive, with some highlights being: THE NIS International Tour (London, Edinburgh, Tokyo 2014), RE:EVOLUTION (Melbourne Festival 2014), LA LA LULLABY (Federation Square 2015), SELF SEEKERS (Tokyo, Hong Kong, Macau 2015, Festival of Live Art 2018, Footscray Community Arts Centre 2019). Beyond his work with The Amplified Elephants, Daniel has written several sound tracks for videos and arts projects through the Footscray Community Arts Centre.
