LAI, Tsung-Yun, a young artist with an industrial design background, is a graduate student in the Department of New Media Art, Taipei National University of the Arts. Lai’s practice has stemmed from a focus on audiovisual works that examine the meaning of life.

Currently, he is one of the curators for Lacking Sound Festival, and has curated the festival since 2013. Lacking Sound is Taiwan’s most renowned sound art performance festival. The Lacking Sound Festival has supported over a hundred different sound art events since 2007. The Festival promotes sound art in Taiwan and actively works with sound artist groups from abroad.
