DEEP CREATURES - THE AMPLIFIED ELEPHANTS /// 15-17 SEPTEMBER /// FUSE FESTIVAL
FUSE FESTIVAL, SPRING 2022
15-17 September, Thursday to Saturday, 8pm
JOLTED 342 High St Northcote
Costumes by T.A.D. - JOLT's Theatre Art Department Workshop
Called to the sea by deep creatures – a council of benevolent interdimensional aliens – a young woman is taken to a sunken ship where she unlocks a giant clay urn unleashing the godlike creature from within. She too is transformed by the experience: to become sacred and divine.
The Amplified Elephants dive to great auditory and visual depths linking sonic art; video art; deep ocean creatures and their own take on the infinite brilliance of the creative mind. At times ambient; at times oceanic; at times strident with powerful sonic waves. The show resonates with a love of the sea and echoing into climate transformation – partly mapped out in video art sequences that support the live performance.
The Elephants perform their latest work with a gathering of electronic instruments and sound-making devices distributed through a video screen scattered performance space.
The Amplified Elephants are:
Natalie Walters
Daniel Munnery
